Service and data-use terms
These terms apply to the 402rates.com website, API, MCP interface, free capabilities and paid capabilities. They supplement the payment terms presented by an x402 challenge. Individually negotiated agreements take precedence over these terms.
The provider is Can Inac, operating 402rates.com. Provider address and contact details are available in the legal notice.
Business use only
Paid capabilities are offered exclusively to entrepreneurs, companies and other organizations acting for commercial or independent professional purposes, including automated agents acting for them. They are not offered for private consumer purposes. This restriction does not remove rights that mandatory law grants to a customer who is legally a consumer. A wallet or an automated request does not itself establish a customer's business status.
A customer may use an authorized automated client to submit requests and payment proofs. The software is a technical means of access, not a separate contracting party. The legal attribution of a request remains subject to applicable law.
Individual paid calls
Requesting a payment challenge does not itself place a paid order. The challenge identifies the requested capability, price and accepted payment options. Submitting a valid payment proof requests that paid capability. An individual paid API or MCP call does not create a subscription or a commitment to further purchases. Statutory rights if the agreed response is not delivered remain unaffected.
What completes one call
For an individual data or payment-check call, the main performance obligation is fulfilled when the agreed result has been delivered to the customer's client through the requested HTTP or MCP interface, in accordance with the capability's published scope, method and limits. Internal execution, a server success entry or payment settlement alone does not establish delivery of that result. An interrupted response can leave the payment or delivery outcome uncertain; it is not automatically treated as fulfilled.
- Yield and instrument data: one response for the requested selection, with the published calculations, evidence and explicit gaps. Source and observation dates govern each figure; generating a response does not make every underlying observation new.
- Settlement cost comparison: one calculation from the stated inputs and simulated transfer assumptions. It does not execute the compared transfer or fix the cost of a later transaction.
- Payment check: one paid round trip on the selected payment network, with the ping result and transport settlement receipt. It does not certify the client's general reliability or promise that later calls or other networks will work.
A completed individual call does not include ongoing monitoring, automatic updates, individual change notifications or execution of the customer's later decisions, unless expressly agreed. A later change in source data or a later service outage does not by itself make an earlier, correctly delivered result defective. A new paid retrieval is a separate purchase; a retry under the applicable payment and idempotency protocol is not automatically a new purchase.
Completion does not extinguish claims arising from non-performance, defective performance or other breaches of duty. Expressly agreed later access, the rights to use delivered responses and reports, published correction procedures, and duties imposed by applicable law remain unaffected. Synthetic test access is governed by the separate scope below. A separately agreed subscription or continuous service follows its own agreed term.
Report a problem with a paid call
Email info@402rates.com to report:
- Payment completed but the agreed response was not delivered.
- The same payment authorization was charged more than once.
- A calculated figure does not follow from the supplied inputs and published method, including its stated rounding.
Identify the capability and describe what happened. Include the payment network, transaction identifier and available response or error evidence. For a calculation issue, identify the affected field and the discrepancy. Never send private keys, seed phrases, reusable payment authorizations or test access tokens.
We review reports manually and provide correction, delivery or repayment as required by the applicable rights. Repayments of x402 charges use the same token and network to the verified original payer, not automatically the transaction submitter, which may be a facilitator. We do not substitute an address supplied in an email.
These reporting examples do not restrict other complaints, statutory remedies, damages claims, applicable deadlines or rules of evidence. A repayment does not itself settle other claims or require a waiver of rights.
Nature of the service
402rates.com is an informational data and calculation service. It collects, normalizes and cites third-party and public blockchain data, calculates figures under published methods, and reports conflicts and gaps. It is not merely a link directory, and its calculated figures are not issuer figures unless a response labels them as such.
Free synthetic tests and reports
The synthetic agent test provides a bounded, versioned simulation and a record of events observed by the test service. It does not place a real order, make a payment or execute an investment transaction. A report records calls, timestamps, synthetic operations and resulting state. It does not certify, score or establish the general reliability or safety of an agent.
The current case replaces a successful synthetic action's confirmation with an application-level error. Actual network disconnections, real payments and other failure classes are not covered. Client middleware and orchestration can generate calls, so the record does not isolate the model's decisions or establish what a client received. Configuration changes are caller-declared.
The case and its repeat are free within the published limits. Caller model and hosting costs remain external. A caller may retain, compare and share reports generated for its own synthetic test runs, including repeated internal testing. The separate data-feed licensing provisions below do not restrict this use of its own synthetic reports. This grant does not include the service software, another caller's records or separate third-party datasets.
Starting a run includes subsequent actions and access to its state and report within the published limits. The active period is at most five minutes, with at most twenty action calls and forty read calls, including report reads, per run. Finalizing a report ends further actions but does not itself end report access while the access period and remaining read allowance permit it.
Run access expires twenty-four hours after creation. Linked comparisons remain available only while the earlier run is retained. Downloaded reports remain under the holder's control; locally supplied comparison reports are not authenticated by the renderer. No account or wallet is required, and a lost run token cannot be recovered through an account.
No advice, offer or eligibility decision
Nothing on 402rates.com or in a response is investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, an offer, a solicitation, or a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, subscribe for or redeem any security, fund share or digital asset. No advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, agency or similar relationship is created.
A result from compass.rwa.filter is a mechanical comparison of
caller-supplied facts with cited issuer statements. A result in
matches is not a determination that the caller is eligible,
suitable, approved or legally permitted to transact. A
cheapest result identifies only the lowest measured technical
transfer cost within the response's stated scope and time. It does not account
for liquidity, finality, bridge risk, asset risk, access restrictions or the
caller's circumstances.
Data limitations and corrections
Sources and public blockchain state can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, stale, unavailable, revised or mutually conflicting. Collection, normalization and calculation can also contain errors. A source citation or an onchain observation does not make a value error-free. Historical and realised yields are backward-looking and do not predict future returns.
The delivered data is a documented snapshot within the requested capability's scope. Measured treasury yields include the start and end observations, their dates, the calculation window and annualisation method. Settlement cost comparisons include the fee inputs, simulation scenario and source fetch times. These records let the caller inspect the basis of the calculation; they do not establish that an underlying source is error-free.
Quoted issuer figures are labelled separately from our measured yields
and are not necessarily reproducible from published inputs. Yield rows with
no usable figure report unavailable with a reason. The free
coverage response
describes tracked instruments and known measurement gaps. A response
timestamp does not replace the dates of its underlying observations.
Corrections to the Open Treasury Yield Basis dataset are recorded in the public Corrections section. Users and automated systems must verify data independently before relying on it.
User decisions and transactions
The caller remains responsible for every decision and action based on the service, including checking source evidence, transaction details, instrument terms, legal and tax treatment, eligibility, sanctions, KYC requirements and compliance in the relevant jurisdiction. 402rates.com receives the stated x402 price solely for access to its data response. The payment proof and settlement are processed through the facilitator and public blockchain named in the payment request. 402rates.com does not hold assets for callers, maintain payment accounts, transfer money between third parties, or execute or arrange the acquisition or disposal of a financial instrument. Paying for a response buys data access under these terms, not a financial instrument or an interest in one.
Service obligations and liability
The agreed service is the capability described at the time of the call, within its stated scope, method and limits. A description of source uncertainty does not remove the provider's obligation to deliver the agreed service. Statutory rights concerning non-performance or defective performance remain unaffected. No additional guarantee of a financial outcome or uninterrupted availability is given unless expressly agreed.
Liability is not limited for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, for culpable injury to life, body or health, for fraudulent concealment, or where a guarantee or mandatory statutory liability applies, including applicable product liability.
For business customers, liability for ordinary negligence in the breach of an essential contractual obligation is limited to loss that was foreseeable and typical for this contract when it was concluded. Essential obligations are those necessary to perform the contract and on whose performance the customer can normally rely. Subject to the preceding paragraph, liability for ordinary negligence in the breach of other obligations is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. These business-customer limitations do not apply to consumers; statutory liability applies to them.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited. The caller's responsibility for its own decisions does not remove the provider's liability under this section.
The rules in this section also cover conduct of legal representatives and persons used to perform the provider's obligations, to the extent that the provider is responsible for their conduct under applicable law.
What one call grants
A successful call grants the payer the right to use that response internally, to analyse it, and to cite individual facts with attribution to 402rates.com and the primary sources carried in the response.
Historical observations
compass.rwa.history provides free normalized history for the
40 daily recorder sources that the source audit dated 4 September 2026 found
reconstructible from a public history route or historical contract state.
One call returns one instrument, one source and one explicit date window.
Each point carries its source, date, revision and whether the date came from
the source or from the time 402rates.com read it.
The five current-only issuer-figure series remain outside the free endpoint:
USTB, EUTBL, USTBL, UKTBL and VBILL. No public route for reconstructing their
past values was found in that audit. This does not establish that no other
party records or supplies such observations. A request for one returns
HISTORY_SOURCE_RESERVED and this page, not an empty data gap.
Access is available under a separate written agreement. No public history
price or tier is stated before there is a real requirement to price.
Continuous access and change notices
Redistribution, embedding 402rates.com data in a customer-facing product, and continuous access with notices when tracked fields change are available under a separate written agreement. This includes recurring internal feeds, customer-facing integrations, mirroring and syndication. No public price is stated before requirements such as fields, cadence, recipients and permitted use have been agreed.
Repeated, separately paid API or MCP calls for permitted internal use do not require a continuous-access agreement solely because they recur. Each purchase grants its own response; it does not reserve future availability or include an automatically delivered feed.
To discuss access, email info@402rates.com.
Third-party rights and attribution
Issuer quotations, product names, trademarks, and linked source materials remain subject to their owners' rights. They are used for identification, attribution and evidence. A data-use grant from 402rates.com does not grant rights in third-party source material beyond rights available under applicable law or separately from its owner.
CoinGecko market-price input
The CoinGecko API and its raw data are the property of CoinGecko. The settlement-cost capability uses a CoinGecko native-token price as one input to 402rates.com's own gas-cost calculation. It does not provide access to the CoinGecko API or pass through CoinGecko's raw API response.
Data provided by CoinGecko. Users receive no right from 402rates.com to access, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or syndicate the CoinGecko API or any part of its raw data, and must not use this service to bypass CoinGecko's access controls or plan limits.
CoinGecko does not operate, sponsor or endorse 402rates.com and bears no responsibility or liability for this service, its calculations, its use, or any financial decision or outcome based on it. 402rates.com is responsible for offering its own service and for its disclosures. Cryptoasset prices are volatile and third-party market data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong; verify current inputs independently.
If the primary market-price source is unavailable, the settlement-cost capability may use an independent fallback. Every response identifies the price source actually used for each chain, including its attribution, URL, quote basis, fallback status and fetch time. A fallback value is never attributed to CoinGecko.
When separate terms apply
Internal use with attribution is granted by the paid snapshot call. The separately available uses above begin only when a written agreement covering them is in force.
